> I have been running these groups for the past 6+ years and feel that they are a wonderful support for mamas who are interested in forming community, reducing stress, making space for the breadth of their experience, and cultivating a mindful approach to parenting. Bringing mindfulness to the experience of early motherhood can both increase your sense of ease and deepen your sense of connection to yourself, your little one, and your partner. While this is not a therapy group it is a therapist-led support/discussion/meditation group facilitated by Gina Hassan, Ph.D, licensed psychologist and mother. Gina is an individual & couples therapist specializing in the transition to parenthood and a mindfulness instructor.
>
> The format of the group generally involves a combination of guided meditation, (no prior experience necessary), discussion, support and community building. Benefits of incorporating mindfulness in to your life may include: decreased stress, increased sense of calm and ease, a deeper sense of connectedness, and greater ability to navigate the complexity of the demanding and joyful experience of mothering.

>
> Here is what other mothers are saying about this group:
>
> “I thought the meetings were wonderful. The atmosphere was so comfortable and warm and I truly felt like I could share anything. I never worried about feeling judged or compared to other mothers.”
>
> “Your facilitation was thoughtful and helpful without being intrusive.”
>
> “I really like the way you helped us all to remember to be kind to ourselves in this time of growth and change. I also loved the way our mindfulness helped calm our babies.”
> Please feel free to share this information with others and/or to contact me for more information. Thanks – Gina

Introducing Amber Pearson, a local birth doula, postpartum doula, pre and postnatal yoga teacher.
Amber says, “I see the great sacred transitional period from pregnancy all the way through few years after birth to be one of the most heart opening and challenging times. I am drawn to birth, and postpartum support along side yoga as a way for individuals to find balance within the change, and to have the support one needs so they can be present with there little ones. I am offering a workshop for pregnant mothers to begin the process of finding balance within the current of change. This workshop is called, “Devotional Mothers.”
here is a flyer
I am currently studying as an Ayourdoula, Ayurvedic postpartum support. This includes cooking, marma points (similar to acupressure), mama and baby massage, and essential oils. These all support her with digestion, elimination, and balancing the body & hormones. And of course much more. I am offering these as a lower rate/ sliding scale as I am looking for experience. This applies to mamas and babies through 2years after birth.
