Can I arrange a private group class?
Yes, many mom’s groups or families arrange their own private class. Please email me for more information.
How old should my baby be to participate?
There are 2 Tum e Time classes to meet the needs of your growing baby.
Tum e Time Part 1 – babies ages one month to pre-crawling. Even parents with babies on the verge of crawling will benefit from the classes.
Tum e Time Part 2 – babies 5 months to pre-walking and is only for families who have already taken Part 1.
My child has special needs can I still join?
Children of all abilities are welcome to join the class. I have a background in special education and was a program coordinator for a Regional Center of the East Bay (RCEB) program for many years. I would be happy to discuss any accommodations or adaptations that you and your baby might need.
What if I, or my baby, have medical/health issues?
You are responsible for checking in with your care providers to make sure that this is a class that is recommended for you or your baby. Please discuss any concerns you may have with your care providers before joining this class.
What is the cost of the class?
The cost is $110 for the 4-week session. This is for one or two parents + baby only (no guests). And includes a handout packet, baby signs/songs video, massage oil and all equipment used.
Or, if you have something to barter, please ask!
Can I bring my older child/?
Unfortunately, the class is only designed for the ages specified for the class, so no older children may accompany.
Can I bring my mom/friend/sister/nanny…?
Unfortunately, I cannot accommodate guests. This class is like a mom’s group or birthing class…the focus is on parents.
I offer a separate caregivers group when there is enough interest. Please let me know if you are a caregiver or think your caregiver would want to attend such a group.
How can I register and pay?
This website makes it easy to submit your registration on-line by filling out the registration form and clicking the submit button. You can also pay directly from this website through paypal or you can send a check. (email me for address)
What is the Cancellation Policy?
100% refund if canceling 1 week/7 days before class begins or the payment can go towards a future class. If you cancel with less than 7 days in advance or you do not show for a class, your class fee will be forfeited.
What if I have to miss a class?
Often families miss a class, planned or unplanned, but there are several things that I’ve done to help make up for it. There is a handout packet which outlines each class (including songs, massage, yoga, and other developmental thoughts) and a video that reviews the songs/baby signs that we do each week, plus you are always welcome to ask me any questions.
Please be aware that I cannot offer make-ups, refunds or prorate classes.
What should we wear?
We’ll be sitting on the floor; so comfortable clothing is a must. Dress your baby in easy access clothing and be aware that massage oil may stain.
What should I bring to class?
Please bring a blanket and/or yoga mat for the baby to lie on and another blanket to cover the baby during massage.
Are gift certificates available?
Yes. Give the gift of a class to someone who’s expecting. Makes a great shower gift. Gift certificates can be used for any class at any time.
Can I get there by public transportation?
Transit information is available from www.511.org.
